This is one of the very striking stories of the Book of Acts, and Peter’s swift action to deal with it reveals the way in which we must respond to the prospect of unrighteousness coming in to God’s work, the church. Also in this passage it is very clearly presented that wherever God is working mightily, the enemy is seeking to disrupt and derail His purpose.
