My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you,

– Galatians 4:19

Paul’s aim was that Christ would be formed in those who he pastored. By the transforming power of the Spirit, and the Scripture, Paul’s desire was that they (the Galatians, Ephesians, Corinthians, Philippians, etc.) would “be conformed to the image of His Son” (Romans 8:29). And we all, as we are “beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Cor. 3:18).
