2 Peter 2
These are wells without water, clouds carried by a tempest, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.
– 2 Peter 2:17
Peter says that false teachers are like wells without water, and clouds that quickly pass without bring their rain to the earth. Ultimately a well without water and cloud that passes without bringing the rain are good for nothing. They do not have, or bring the very thing they are tasked with. Such are false teachers.
